Meet Our Professor
PJ Broome is the Owner and Head Coach at Emperor City Grappling Club, where he dedicates himself full-time as a career grappler. With a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and 14 years of experience in the discipline, PJ has established himself as a formidable presence in the grappling community.
PJ's journey in combat sports began with Folk-style Wrestling, where he has amassed 22 years of experience. Over the years, he has competed in over 400 matches across various disciplines, including Gi & No Gi Jiu-Jitsu, Folk-style Wrestling, Freestyle Wrestling, Sumo Wrestling, and Judo.
In 2024, PJ achieved significant milestones in his grappling career. He was crowned the Black Belt Absolute Gi Champion at the Newbreed JJ Federation Georgia State Championship and emerged victorious in "The Dirty South" B&F Classic, securing the 150-pound title. Additionally, he boasts an impressive 18-6 record in exhibition Sumo Wrestling matches.
